Responsibilities and Duties Provide superior customer service in an emergency contact/call center environment through phone and other channels of correspondence. β€’ Handle questions and concerns regarding weather related emergencies with the highest degree of courtesy and professionalism. β€’ Communicate and provide accurate answers to resolve end-users' questions and concerns. β€’ Display empathy, have a passion for customer service excellence, and enjoy helping people, especially those impacted by weather related incidents. β€’ Use a respectful and tactful manner to effectively deal with difficult situations. β€’ Maintain knowledge of systems/applications/products serviced by the contact center. β€’ Ability to follow strict work instructions and procedures. β€’ Adapt to continual changes to work instructions and procedures. β€’ Available for a flexible schedule from 7 AM to 11 PM ET, Monday through Sunday. Candidate may be assigned to work at any time including weekends. β€’ Attend training as needed. β€’ Listen to performance feedback and integrate suggestions into your daily tasks. β€’ Demonstrate a strong attendance record and excellent work ethic. Qualifications and Skills Effective listening & comprehension skills β€’ Ability to closely follow instructions β€’ Outstanding verbal & written communication skills β€’ Analytical & resourceful problem-solving skills β€’ Proper telephone etiquette β€’ High level of accuracy & attention to detail β€’ Computer literacy, technical aptitude & familiarity with basic office software systems β€’ Ability to work independently & in a team setting β€’ Flexibility to work different shifts Must have HS diploma.
