Overview: Tantus Technologies, Inc. (Tantus) - recognized by the Washington Post as a Top Workplace - is seeking a Senior AWS Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer to support the technology group for our federal client located in Washington, DC. The engineering position will perform a variety of tasks and activities that are broad in nature and concerned with application migration to AWS; implementation and maintenance of AWS Cloud environments and services; and full SDLC support. Clearance: This position supports a federal contract and requires U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder) status, as well as the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance. What You'll Do: β’ Design and Implement Cloud Infrastructure: β’ Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available AWS infrastructure using cloud native applications and services such as VPC, Subnets, and Routers. β’ Use IaC tools like CloudFormation, and provision infrastructure. β’ Containerization and Orchestration: β’ Create and manage containerized applications using Docker and run them on Amazon ECS β’ Optimize ECS cluster performance, configure auto-scaling, and manage rolling updates. β’ Container Image Management: β’ Use Amazon ECR to store, manage, and deploy container images. β’ Implement automated image scanning, vulnerability management, and compliance reporting. β’ Load Balancing: β’ Design and implement load balancing using AWS Application Load Balancer (ALB) and Network Load Balancer (NLB). β’ Configure health checks, listener rules, and target groups for efficient traffic distribution. β’ CI/CD Pipeline Management: β’ Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins or Git Actions β’ Automate testing, deployment, and rollbacks of applications to ensure high quality and reliability. β’ Collaboration and Communication: β’ Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and implement solutions. β’ Communicate technical designs, plans, and progress to stakeholders and team members. Required Knowledge and Skills: β’ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering. β’ Proven experience developing user interfaces using a modern Front-End Framework such as Angular, React, or a comparable technology. β’ AWS Experience: β’ * Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience with AWS services, including VPC, Subnets, ECS, ECR, ALB, NLB, and Jenkins. β’ IaC Knowledge: β’ * Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation β’ Containerization and Orchestration: β’ * Experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration using ECS β’ Load Balancing and CI/CD: β’ * Understanding of load balancing concepts and experience with implementing ALB and NLB. β’ Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and experience with implementing Jenkins or Git Actions β’ Cloud Security and Compliance: β’ * Knowledge of AWS IAM, AWS CloudTrail, and AWS Config for security management. β’ Communication and Collaboration: β’ * Excellent verbal and written communication skills for working with cross-functional teams. Abilities: β’ Ability to quickly understand cloud technologies and apply that knowledge to advance client transformation initiatives. β’ The ability to use technical skills for the design and implementation of various CI/CD patterns while abiding by industry standards and policies. Salary Range: β’ Salary range is $170,000-200,000/year.
