Senior Cloud Architect (Azure) Hybrid NYC Pay: $65 $75 per hour (W2) Type: Long-term contract Level: Senior (9-12 yrs) Location: New York, NY (Hybrid: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote) Make your mark on an enterprise cloud transformation Join a forward-thinking technology organization modernizing mission-critical platforms on Microsoft Azure. You'll set the standards, shape the blueprint, and lead governance for high-scale, secure, and cost-efficient cloud solutions. If you love pairing architecture vision with hands-on delivery and influencing decisions across the enterprise, this is your stage. What you'll do • Own the blueprint: Define and evolve enterprise architecture standards and reusable reference architectures. • Lead with Azure depth: Design scalable, resilient, and secure cloud solutions (hybrid + multi-cloud exposure a plus). • Run governance that matters: Chair architecture reviews, guide solution design decisions, and reduce tech debt. • Automate everything: Drive IaC (Terraform/ARM/Pulumi), CI/CD (GitHub Actions/Jenkins/GitLab), and configuration mgmt (Ansible/Chef/Puppet). • Secure & optimize: Implement best-practice security (IAM/RBAC/Key Vault/Defender), zero-trust patterns, and FinOps cost controls. • Influence outcomes: Partner with DevOps, Security, Networking, Finance, and Procurement to align tech to business goals. What you bring • 7 9 years designing enterprise cloud architectures with strong Azure expertise. • Proven experience across hybrid on-prem/cloud, cloud networking, security, and governance. • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform/AWS (preferred), FinOps principles, and ARB/governance leadership. • Hands-on with Terraform (or ARM/Pulumi), CI/CD tooling, and automation at scale. • Excellent communicator who can translate architecture trade-offs for technical and business stakeholders. Certifications • Required: Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert • Preferred: TOGAF and/or ITIL; AWS/Google Cloud Platform Architect (nice to have) Work setup • Hybrid model: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote after initial onboarding. • Must be local to NYC/NJ (approx. 1 hour commute).
