They are seeking their first accounting hire to lead the finance function, overseeing the monthly close, managing financial reporting, and implementing scalable systems and controls. Responsibilities • Design an effective month-end close process with an emphasis on efficiency and scalability • Identify opportunities to automate core accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, accruals, and prepaids • Oversee preparation and review of account reconciliations to support timely and accurate financial statements • Prepare detailed variance analyses to support planning, forecasting, and performance tracking • Lead communication with external auditors, playing a critical role in navigating through the first full year-end audit process • Be proactive in identifying and implementing process improvements across the organization to increase efficiency within financial reporting • Partner closely with other departments to align financial tracking with business activity • Support various special projects Skills • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required • 5+ years of accounting experience in a ecommerce or consumer products business • Proficiency in a mainstream ERP System, ideally NetSuite • Strong knowledge of GAAP • Analytical, detail oriented • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Benefits • Discretionary bonus • Benefits • Equity • Other non-cash incentives Company Overview • Advice is a boutique recruiting firm specializing in placing professionals in accounting and tax, finance, real estate operations, human resources, office support and go-to-market.
