About the position The Public Relations Account Executive will be based in our New York, NY office. This is a hybrid role, working 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely each week. It is a full-time, direct-hire position. We're seeking qualified metro NYC area public relations candidates to join our industry-leading technology public relations practice. You will have 3 years of progressive technology public relations work experience/internship experience (preferably in an agency setting), outstanding media relations and client account management skills, a college degree (public relations, communications, journalism), excellent writing skills, and be ready for immediate hire for this full-time position. Responsibilities β€’ Monitoring client and competitive media coverage β€’ Developing and maintaining media lists β€’ Drafting pitches and conducting media outreach β€’ Conducting secondary research and writing measurement report drafts β€’ Supporting speaking opportunities and developing award submissions β€’ Writing news releases and other editorial content β€’ Supporting media briefings and events β€’ Participating in team brainstorms β€’ Supporting new business initiatives Requirements β€’ 3 years of progressive Technology PR work history (PR agency-based experience is strongly preferred) β€’ Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or journalism β€’ Experience in successful earned media relations programs with top-tier national and trade outlets; proven history of media placements and established contacts β€’ Craft compelling messages that drive business goals and elevate client programs β€’ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting all deadlines and budget parameters, utilizing strong communication skills, project management capabilities, and proven problem-solving ability β€’ Excellent writing and editing skills (familiar with AP style); Generates grammatically sound, client-ready communication as a skilled writer and editor β€’ Utilizes enthusiastic big-picture thinking; course-corrects and pivots when needed to achieve effective and decisive action β€’ Advises and drives results that effectively meet internal/external needs and exceed client expectations β€’ Effectively work as part of a team, share information freely, and support the group's common goals; be a true team player β€’ Self-starter with excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines β€’ Ability to think creatively β€’ Ability to adapt to new situations/challenges β€’ Strong verbal and writing skills β€’ Experience with measurement tools (e.g., Cision, Meltwater) is preferred but optional Benefits β€’ Generous vacation, personal, holiday, and sick days off β€’ Up to 5 Winter Break paid days off between Christmas and New Year's Day β€’ Up to 5 additional Summer Days Off β€’ Travel and consumer discounts β€’ Wellness subsidy β€’ 401K Plan β€’ Outstanding insurance/benefits package β€’ Career mentorship from some of the best PR pros in the business β€’ Professional growth opportunities within our award-winning global PR agency Apply tot his job
