About the position We are seeking a proactive and analytical professional to lead lean manufacturing initiatives on the shop floor while supporting production planning and scheduling. This hybrid role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in lean principles-preferably gained in the automotive sector-and a passion for driving operational efficiency. Responsibilities β’ Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities. β’ Design and implement future state processes using lean tools and methodologies. β’ Develop and execute tactical plans to support continuous improvement initiatives. β’ Collaborate with production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure alignment and sustainability of improvements. β’ Support daily and weekly production planning and scheduling activities. β’ Monitor production performance and adjust schedules as needed to meet delivery and quality targets. β’ Review work center capacities and align with keeping resources with work orders. β’ Update delivery dates when not on schedule to make delivery date. β’ Ensure flow is happening throughout the plant from first to last operation, analyze why if not. β’ Develop visual KPI boards for each area/work center in the plant. β’ The ability to recognize bottlenecks and recommend needed adjustments. β’ Other initiatives and duties as assigned by management. Requirements β’ Experience in lean manufacturing, with a strong understanding of tools such as value stream mapping, 5S, SMED, and Kaizen. β’ Background in production planning, scheduling, or operations coordination. β’ Automotive industry experience is a strong asset due to its lean maturity. β’ Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. β’ Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel. β’ Bachelor's degree in engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
