Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. WD-40 Company is seeking a passionate, technically orientated Sales Manager to champion sales of their iconic brands. This home-based position focuses on implementing sales and marketing programs in the Northeast region, specifically targeting the automotive wholesale channel, while developing productive relationships and achieving sales goals. Responsibilities β’ Actively sells all WD-40 Company brands across multiple trade channels to direct and indirect customers to achieve sales and EBITDA goals in line with Company strategies β’ Actively identifies new business, solicits and closes prospective customers β’ Presents broad technical product knowledge of all WD-40 Companyβs product specifications, features, benefits, and applications in a concise, consultative, and convincing manner to provide customers with appropriate solutions β’ Makes product solution recommendations as well as provide technical support β’ Secures off-shelf and secondary displays, and promotions within existing and new customers β’ Responsible for accurate and timely forecasting β’ Proactively develops and contributes to cross-functional sales/promotion/category leadership plans and programs to maximize sales. Develops EBITDA-advantageous account-specific programs in partnership with sales, marketing, and third-party agents β’ Communicates with third-party representatives to educate and reinforce product knowledge, sales goals, programs, and company values β’ Collaborates, prepares, and presents customerβs requests for proposal β’ Ensures that distribution and department plan-o-grams and catalogs are maintained to obtain measured sales goals β’ Reports on activities and goal attainment to plan, establish, review, and appropriately adjust time and territory management plan to meet goals β’ Supports national customers/programs β’ Responsible for selection of and participation in trade shows and integration of promotions/ideas Skills β’ 5+ years of relevant technical consumer packaged goods sales experience, ideally with chemicals across a broad array of channels to include: automotive, industrial, hardware, and farming β’ Experience identifying and opening new accounts β’ Successfully executed account management, business development, and sales within wholesale automotive, hardware, industrial, and/or miscellaneous channels to achieve desired metrics β’ Demonstrated interpersonal and negotiating skills in a direct or indirect sales capacity β’ Bachelor's degree in business or relevant field β’ Ability to travel domestically up to 45% β’ Current and valid driver's license required β company car provided β’ MBA, highly desirable Benefits β’ Medical insurance, 80-95% company-paid premium β’ Dental and vision insurance β’ 401K match β’ Annual cash incentive rewards β’ Tuition reimbursement β’ Short-day Fridays β’ Vacation β’ Paid holidays, including winter shut down Company Overview β’ WD-40 Company is a manufacturer and distributor of household chemical products.
