Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Cypress HCM is seeking a Threat Investigator to support their Investigations Team in responding to critical safety incidents. The role involves detecting malicious activities, conducting investigations, drafting reports, and making recommendations based on findings. Responsibilities β’ Proactively detect and reacquire bad actors on our platform β’ Investigate potentially policy-violating activity by querying internal data sources (using SQL and Python) and cross-referencing open-source information β’ Document and share investigative findings with internal stakeholders Skills β’ 3+ years of experience working on related topics β’ U.S.-based, with the ability to work West Coast hours (9am - 5pm PT) β’ Ability to be on-call that will involve resolving urgent escalations outside of normal work hours, including occasional evenings and weekends β’ Familiarity with technical investigations, and detection pipelines, especially using SQL and Python β’ Familiarity with one of the following topics/areas: AI safety, child safety, digital mental health, fraud abuse, radicalization/persuasion/grooming; hateful activities and groups β’ Ability to rapidly switch across domains, modalities, and abuse areas, to include violent activities and child safety β’ Excited to work in a fast paced, ambiguous, and purposeful space with high impact across users and beyond β’ Proficient in Arabic, Chinese, Farsi, Portuguese, Russian, or Spanish Company Overview β’ Cypress HCM is a staffing and recruiting company providing technology and creative recruiting solutions.
