The Associate SQL Business Analyst role involves translating business requirements into high-quality data extracts and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance data and analytics capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and ensure on time completion of requested activities with a strong attention to detail
- Proactively engages with key stakeholders across our business, gathers requirements, suggests new solutions or improvements to existing tasks and or new problems
- Clear ability to independently manage and prioritize multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to work with internal stakeholders to collaborate with ease in order to build trust and to help influence outcomes
- Support Data Engineers through the quality assurance type code review/ smoke tests etc. to identify coding issues and data exceptions, as well as cleansing of data
- Ability to mine databases, create views, database tables, troubleshoot existing queries and develop new queries
- Support ongoing documentation of internal database architecture, data models etc
- Develop a thorough understanding of the bankβs Data landscape and strive to become a recognized SME on key applications used in the bank
- Perform additional duties as required
Skills
- College education in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or 1-2 years of systems analyst experience in a SQL Analyst/Data Analyst/ BI role
- Advanced Experience working with writing T-SQL and PL-SQL and extracting information from Oracle and or SQL databases, Data Warehouse environments
- Experience with Visual Studio, ETL tools or SSIS Package development, data governance tools is an added benefit
