Job Description
EVS, Inc. is a pioneering company in renewable energy with over 45 years of experience. They are seeking an Entry Level Electrical Engineer to assist in design drawings, engineering calculations, and collaborate with senior engineers to learn industry standards and electrical codes.
Responsibilities
- Assist in creating and revising basic design drawings with guidance
- Perform basic engineering calculations to support design decisions
- Prepare reports, calculations, and deliverables that meet technical standards
- Review personal work for accuracy and contribute to team quality control reviews
- Research and apply state and local design codes and ordinances for compliance
- Learn to apply engineering principles to site designs and critical problem-solving
- Collaborate with senior engineers to gain exposure to project coordination and technical challenges
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, providing project-specific design criteria as needed
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 0–2 years of experience in electrical design or related engineering discipline
- Basic understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with MathCAD or similar tools is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in calculations, drawings, and reports
- Curiosity, initiative, and eagerness to learn new engineering concepts
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or other drafting software
