Job Description
American Airlines is expanding its remote technical team and is currently seeking a Support Engineer (Remote) for immediate hire. This is a critical Work From Home position that sits at the intersection of technical troubleshooting and customer success. As a Support Engineer, you will provide high-level technical assistance to internal staff and external partners, ensuring the software systems that power the world largest airline remain operational and efficient.

- Technical Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex software and system issues related to flight scheduling and passenger management platforms.

- System Monitoring: Actively monitor cloud-based infrastructure and application performance to preemptively address potential outages.

- Documentation: Create and maintain technical knowledge base articles and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the IT support team.
- *
- Collaboration: Work closely with the DevOps and Software Development teams to report bugs and suggest feature enhancements based on user feedback.

- Security Compliance: Ensure all remote workstations and support protocols adhere to American Airlines strict cybersecurity and data privacy standards.
- Required Skills & Experience
- *
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in a Technical Support Engineer, Help Desk Tier II, or Systems Support role.
- *
- Technical Stack: Proficiency with Windows/macOS environments, SQL queries, and basic API troubleshooting.
- *
- Cloud Knowledge: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is highly preferred.
- *
- Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) status is a strong plus.

- Environment: A dedicated home office with high-speed internet (minimum 50 Mbps) and a distraction-free background.
