Position Overview We are seeking experienced Mechanics to support operations at remote camps throughout Alaska. This role involves maintaining and repairing a variety of heavy equipment and light vehicles used in field operations. Assignments, schedules, and specific equipment will vary depending on project needs. Key Responsibilities β’ Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and light vehicles β’ Diagnose mechanical issues and troubleshoot equipment problems β’ Conduct inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently β’ Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records β’ Coordinate with field and operations personnel to minimize equipment downtime β’ Follow established safety practices and procedures in all work activities Qualifications β’ Proven experience working as a mechanic on heavy equipment and/or light vehicles β’ Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills β’ Knowledge of preventative maintenance and equipment servicing practices β’ Ability to work independently and manage priorities in remote environments β’ Effective communication and teamwork skills β’ Willingness to work rotational schedules and live in a remote camp setting Work Environment β’ Remote, camp-based work locations across Alaska β’ Variable weather and rugged conditions β’ Rotational schedules depending on project requirements Additional Information β’ Compensation: Pay based on experience level β’ This posting is not an immediate hire.
