Information Systems Architect – Advanced (Citrix Architect)
Location: 100% Remote (Candidate must reside in the continental U.S. and work EST hours)

Clemson University is seeking an experienced Information Systems Architect – Advanced (Citrix Architect) to join the Infrastructure Services and Operations team. This is a 100% remote, full-time consulting role supporting the Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) project, ensuring compliance with industry standards and delivering critical Tier 1–4 Citrix infrastructure support.
- Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of technical experience in Citrix administration, including XenServer in a production environment
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Windows Infrastructure technologies such as:
- Active Directory (AD)
- DNS
- DHCP
- ADFS
- WSUS
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with design and architecture of IT systems
- 5+ years of providing Tier 1 – Tier 4 support
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills using structured methodologies
- Familiarity with Citrix command-line tools and the ability to create SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience monitoring VDI platforms with tools such as:
- Netscaler
- ControlUP
- Citrix Administration Certification
- Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to:
- Troubleshoot complex systems in critical environments
- Identify root causes and implement action plans
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Support EST working hours regardless of time zone
