Role Description
We are a busy, established behavioral health group practice seeking a highly experienced mental health billing specialist. This role is not entry-level, not trainable, and not a learning opportunity.
This role exists for one reason: to take full ownership of our billing and revenue cycle inside TherapyNotes and keep money moving without hand-holding.
- Qualifications
- Several years of direct, daily experience using TherapyNotes EHR
- Strong experience with Availity
- Requirements
- Claims creation, submission, and tracking
- ERA/EOB posting
- Patient balances and unapplied credits
- Account reconciliation
- Full revenue cycle mastery
- Insurance verification
- Charge entry
- Denial and rejection management
- Appeals and follow-up until paid
- Advanced denial management skills
- Ability to identify root causes
- Correct errors, resubmit, and follow through
- Aggressively chase unpaid claims
- Eligibility and benefits verification
