Location: Remote with requirement to travel for business needs
Role Purpose:
The Manager of Procurement - Indirect is responsible for the execution of the procurement processes throughout Hain North America. This role is expected to support the procurement lifecycle of assigned categories of indirect procurement including request for proposal/quote, market analysis and monitoring, selection determination and negotiation, vendor on-boarding, vendor performance management including spend, terms compliance, and process and policy compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Category & Sourcing Management
- Owns and manages assigned indirect spend categories, developing and executing category strategies aligned to business and financial goals.
- Develops and maintains annual sourcing plans, including contract renewal calendars, competitive bidding strategies, supplier performance reviews, market intelligence, and risk assessments.
- Leads full lifecycle sourcing activities (RFP/RFQ/RFI), including supplier evaluation, selection, negotiation, and contracting to achieve optimal total cost of ownership (TCO).
- Cost Savings & Value Creation
- Owns and delivers annual cost savings and value targets through strategic sourcing, supplier consolidation, demand management, and spend controls.
- Tracks, validates, and reports savings and value creation in partnership with Finance.
- Supplier & Stakeholder Management
- Builds and maintains strong, collaborative relationships with internal business partners to ensure alignment between functional strategies and sourcing strategies.
- Manages supplier onboarding, performance management, scorecards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Serves as a key escalation point for supplier performance, contract compliance, and dispute resolution.
- Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Ensures compliance with SOX, purchasing policies, contract terms, and internal controls across all procurement activities.
- Supports risk management initiatives related to supply continuity, financial exposure, ESG, and regulatory compliance.
- Systems & Process Excellence
- Acts as a subject matter expert and secondary support for Coupa Contract-to-PO processes, ensuring adoption, data integrity, and process efficiency.
- Coordinates and manages third-party procurement-related services and tools as needed.
- Continuously improves procurement processes, templates, and governance to support scalability and efficiency.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education and/or Experience:
- Required:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in indirect procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain roles within a corporate environment.
- Experience supporting procurement in a CPG, food & beverage, manufacturing, or related industry.
- Demonstrated experience managing indirect spend categories and leading sourcing initiatives end-to-end.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and procurement systems (Coupa or similar).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
- Preferred:
- Professional certification such as CPSM, CIPS, or equivalent.
- Experience managing $50M–$75M+ in annual indirect spend.
- Strong negotiation and contract management experience.
- Exposure to manufacturing, operations, or contract manufacturing environments.
- Experience with change management and procurement transformation initiatives.
- Knowledge of ESG, supplier diversity, or responsible sourcing practices.

Scope:
Financial/Budgetary Responsibility: Direct responsibility for managing assigned indirect spend categories and delivering annual cost savings targets.
Team Size: Individual contributor role with potential to lead cross-functional sourcing teams and supplier initiatives; no direct reports initially.
- Conditions of Role:
- Travel Requirements: Up to 25% travel to contract manufacturing sites, suppliers, and industry events.
- Physical Conditions: Ability to work in manufacturing environments during site visits, including exposure to noise and varying temperatures.
- Work Environment: Remote role, with regular virtual collaboration and periodic on-site engagement.
- Compensation and Benefits:
- $75,000 -$114,000 (commensurate with experience and location)
