Job Description
The company is seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer to lead a strategic transition from a founder-operated e-commerce company to a professionally structured, team-operated organization. You will work with the founders to design and operationalize the companyโs structure, including hiring, onboarding, and overseeing key roles. This position may evolve into serving as the ongoing COO, or alternatively, leading the search and transition to a full-time General Manager once the foundational systems and team are established.
- Responsibilities
- Design a clear organizational structure with defined roles and responsibilities across core functions: operations, customer experience, marketing, general manager, and CEO.
- Build and develop high-performing team: sequence and lead the hiring and onboarding of key roles.
- Assess and build full tech stack migration improving all processes and system automations.
- Establish KPIs, reporting rhythms, and accountability systems
- Develop, implement, and ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures throughout the company.
- Manage company culture, projects, and overall team workflow & meeting cadence.
- Provide operational leadership and strategic oversight to enhance organizational efficiency and scalability.
- Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in organizational development, small business scaling, and operational strategy.
- Demonstrated ability to build structure in founder-led companies.
- Experience in e-commerce, manufacturing-adjacent businesses, or specialty building materials preferred.
