About the Role
We’re looking for a part-time HVAC Career Coach to support students through live workshops and optional 1:1 coaching.
- This is not a traditional employment role and not a guaranteed-income position. It’s a flexible, paid opportunity best suited for experienced HVAC technicians who enjoy mentoring, teaching, and helping others break into the trade — with upside if students choose to work with you.How This Role Actually Works
- You host a live, one-hour workshop (seminar-style) for students
- You are paid $50 per workshop, plus any private coaching business you acquire
- You may receive exclusive coaching opportunities based on performance and engagement
- Workshops are used to provide value, answer questions, and showcase your real-world experience
- If students choose to book you for 1:1 coaching, you keep the coaching revenue
- You set your own availability and working hours
- There is no requirement to convert students — workshops are paid regardless — but conversion is where the upside comes from.Responsibilities
- Host a live, one-hour workshop on a monthly basis
- Answer student questions about HVAC careers and the job search
- Share real-world insight into what entry-level HVAC roles, apprenticeships, and certifications actually look like
- Provide optional 1:1 coaching to students who request it
- What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of professional HVAC experience (residential, commercial, or industrial)
- Familiarity with entry-level roles, apprenticeships, and certification pathways (EPA 608, etc.)
- Interest in mentoring and helping career changers enter the trades
- Strong communication and teaching ability
- Availability at least three evenings per week, ideally Tuesday–Thursday
- Self-starter mindset — comfortable leading workshops independently
