Position Summary

We are seeking a Financial Data Integrations Specialist with a strong functional background in accounting and ERP systems. This role is responsible for managing the integration of Zact’s Expense Management, Integrated Payables, and Travel Account Management products with accounting systems such as NetSuite and QuickBooks Online.

The ideal candidate is a functional expert who understands how Fintech capabilities relate to core accounting processes. You will ensure that financial data is mapped, synced, and reconciled accurately, acting as the primary bridge between our product’s output and the client’s General Ledger.

Location
• Zact is a global company with multiple locations across the US, Europe, and India.
• This position offers a 100% Remote Working Option.
• Candidates must be located in one of the European or Indian Time zones to ensure effective collaboration with our global teams.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the functional mapping of data between Zact and external accounting systems, ensuring that transactions are correctly categorized by GL accounts, departments, locations, and projects.
• Oversee the implementation of integrations, ensuring Zact’s product configuration aligns with the customer’s internal accounting workflows and month-end closing requirements.
• Troubleshoot integration issues from a functional perspective, identifying root causes such as mapping mismatches, closed accounting periods, or tax configuration errors.
• Validate the integrity of financial data during the synchronization process to ensure continuous reconciliation and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with the development team to provide functional specifications for API updates based on how accounting systems handle specific objects like Bills, Vendor Credits, or Journal Entries.
• Retrieve and analyze data from DBMS tables using SQ, utilizing AI chatbots for query generation where needed, to verify that backend data flows accurately into the accounting software.
• Advise customers on best practices for managing expense and payment workflows to maximize the efficiency of their ERP’s functionality.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Functional Consultant in the implementation of ERP systems (such as NetSuite or QuickBooks Online) and/or in managing integration projects where Fintech/SaaS solutions were connected to core accounting systems.
• Deep understanding of General Ledger structures, Accounts Payable/Receivable workflows, and financial reporting.
• Strong ability to translate business and accounting requirements into functional logic for system synchronization.
• Proficiency in navigating the functional modules of ERPs to identify and resolve data discrepancies.
• Ability to perform data retrieval using SQL (leveraging AI tools for syntax) to support functional troubleshooting and data validation.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex accounting logic to both technical developers and customer finance teams.
