Job Description

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Sarah Cannon Research Institute (SCRI) is a leading oncology research organization focused on advancing therapies for cancer patients. The Clinical Budget Analyst will develop clinical trial budgets, negotiate pricing, and present budget proposals to executive management, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with clinical staff and management. Responsibilities • Creating new budgets in Excel based upon Sarah Cannon cost and charge information, analyzing each clinical trial protocol in order to provide a detailed counteroffer to the Sponsor's initial budget while meeting established metrics surrounding each budget • Negotiating budgets with Sponsors/CROs in order to result in a favorable overall result for Sarah Cannon, while establishing and maintaining business relationships for future negotiations • Maintaining and effectively communicating to executive management statuses for all assigned budgets • Proactively communicating and soliciting input from clinical staff, management and others in order to receive timely clarification on protocol specifics, standard of care, billable items and other nuances affecting the budget • Other duties as assigned Skills • Bachelor's Degree required with at least 1 year work experience utilizing basic financial principles, Microsoft Excel, and other data management tools • At least 1 year of experience in budget negotiation • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and other complex formulas • Familiarity with clinical research and/or medical terminology • Analytical decision-making skills and Project management capabilities • Strong negotiation and professional communication skills • Functional knowledge of clinical trials Benefits • Comprehensive benefits to support physical, mental, and financial well-being • Competitive compensation package • Annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities Company Overview • Sarah Cannon Research Institute is one of the world’s leading oncology research organizations conducting community-based clinical trials.
