US Foods is a leading foodservice distributor in the United States, and they are seeking a Finance Manager I to provide accounting and finance support for assigned areas. This role involves ensuring compliance with financial regulations, conducting financial analysis, and supporting process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. Responsibilities β’ Perform period end review and develop journal entry (JE) support for accruals and reclasses required to accurately report financial statements β’ Collaborate with field management to confirm that the RM tracker is recorded and accrued correctly β’ Partner with field management to record and gain approval for excess and obsolete inventory exemptions β’ Work with field management to accurately record rebate accruals β’ Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions β’ Coordinating, maintain, and evidence internal controls (SOX) to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate reporting β’ Partner with Controllers Group on review and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts β’ Perform additional ad-hoc activities as required to support accounting operations β’ Analyze cost structures and support cost-saving initiatives across functions β’ Conduct variance analysis versus business plan and forecast to provide insights and recommendations β’ Period end narrative support β’ Assist with gap plan tracking against target β’ Track various incentive programs β’ Communicate financial results to field and region leaders β’ Support modeling and analysis for union market labor negotiations β’ Assist with annual wage increase (AWI) support and drive consistency across assigned Areas β’ Lead and contribute to cross-functional projects to drive strategic initiatives, share best practices, and deliver measurable business outcomes β’ Identify and support process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance within finance operations β’ Assist in the adoption of new tools, technologies, and best practices to streamline workflows and reporting β’ Work collaboratively with Finance Manager II - Field, Sr Financial Analysts β Field, and other team members to achieve department objectives β’ May provide guidance and support to Sr Financial Analysts - Field as needed β’ Other duties as assigned by manager Skills β’ 5 years of accounting and/or financial analysis experience β’ Strong proficiency in Excel β’ Strong proficiency in financial planning platforms (e.g., Anaplan) β’ Experience with accounting, budgeting, and variance analysis β’ Excellent communication and presentation skills β’ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment β’ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field β’ Accounting and/or financial analysis experience in a multi-site environment β’ Experience in distribution industries β’ Understanding of regional financial structures and shared service models Benefits β’ Health insurance β’ Pre-tax spending accounts β’ Retirement benefits β’ Paid time off β’ Short-term and long-term disability β’ Employee stock purchase plan β’ Life insurance Company Overview β’ US Foods is a foodservice distributor that provides its customers with innovative food offerings and a suite of business solutions.
