Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee payroll workday implementation for a global operations of local software company north of Boston. This long-term contract position is based in Woburn, Massachusetts, and requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in payroll management and systems integration. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in all payroll processes while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle payroll operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing for over 5,000 employees.
  • Oversee multi-state payroll compliance, adhering to federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Utilize Workday HRIS and Workday Payroll Integration to streamline payroll processes.
  • Lead and mentor a team, providing guidance and support to achieve operational goals.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless integration of compensation and benefits.
  • Conduct audits and reviews of payroll data to maintain accuracy and compliance.
  • Implement and optimize payroll systems, including Workday and ADP Workforce Now.
  • Handle payroll tax filings and ensure proper documentation.
  • Manage international payroll operations, ensuring global compliance and accuracy.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance payroll efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Workday HRIS and Smart Compliance.
  • Proven experience managing payroll for over 5,000 employees.
  • At least 5 years of leadership and team management experience.
  • Expertise in multi-state payroll processing and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Familiarity with international payroll operations.
  • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now and Workday Integration.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
