Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. AlphaX is seeking a skilled US Expat Tax Accountant to join their fully remote team. The successful candidate will provide precise, compliant international tax services for clients connected to Moreland Hills and across the U.S., focusing on U.S. citizens and green card holders living abroad. Responsibilities • Prepare and file U.S. individual tax returns for expatriates, handling complex international reporting requirements • Accurately complete Forms 1116, 2555, 8621, 5471, 3520, and 3520-A for clients • Analyze foreign income statements, investment portfolios, and ownership structures to ensure correct tax treatment • Advise clients on foreign earned income exclusion, foreign tax credits, and other expatriate tax strategies • Deliver tailored tax planning and consulting services to U.S. citizens living abroad • Communicate complex U.S. tax regulations clearly and effectively to clients • Stay informed on IRS updates impacting expatriate taxpayers • Manage multiple client engagements while maintaining accuracy and high-quality standards Skills • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • 3+ years of experience in U.S. expatriate tax preparation • Proficiency with international tax reporting forms (1116, 2555, 8621, 5471, 3520, 3520-A) • Thorough knowledge of U.S. tax laws for citizens and green card holders living abroad • Strong ability to work independently in a remote environment • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills • Reliable internet connection for seamless remote work • CPA or EA designation preferred Benefits • Flexible remote work options • Health insurance plans • Retirement savings and 401(k) options • Paid time off and support for professional development Company Overview • AlphaX builds the AI hiring infrastructure that powers modern talent acquisition.
