About this Position:
Job Title: Information Systems Architect
- Major Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and administer AWS environments following best practices.
- Support AWS account structure, IAM roles, policies, and least-privilege access.
- Develop and maintain solutions using AWS services including (but not limited to): Amazon EC2, Auto Scaling, and Elastic Load Balancing.
- Amazon VPC, subnets, routing, and security controls.
- Amazon S3, EBS, EFS, and data lifecycle policies.
- AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and serverless architectures.
- Amazon CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and AWS Config.
- Develop and support Amazon Connect contact center environments, including: Contact flows, queues, routing profiles, and prompts.
- Integrations with AWS Lambda, APIs, and external systems.
- Call recording, analytics, and troubleshooting.
- Design and integrate AI-enabled solutions using Amazon Bedrock where applicable.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation, Terraform, or equivalent tools.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and cost optimization opportunities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows.
- Collaborate with security teams to implement encryption, logging, monitoring, and compliance controls.
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, and architectural diagrams.
- Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring to team members.
- Participate in scheduled maintenance, upgrades, and after-hours support as required.
- Required Skills:
- 6+ years of overall IT experience supporting enterprise systems.
- 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience in development and/or administration.
- 3+ years of experience with AWS core services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, and Lambda).
- 3+ years of experience with Amazon Connect and/or contact center technologies.
- 3+ years of experience integrating APIs, serverless functions, and cloud-native services.
- 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation.
- 3+ years of experience with security best practices, logging, and monitoring in AWS.
- 3+ years of scripting experience (Python, Bash, or equivalent).
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience with AI/ML integrations and prompt engineering.
- Experience with hybrid cloud or third-party integrations.
- Cost optimization and FinOps experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud Services and Hybrid Cloud Architectures.
- Education and Certifications
- Required: AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional OR AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional.
- Preferred: Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect (AZ-305).
