Financial Reporting Consultant (Contract)

Location: 100% Remote – United States

3-5 month contract with opportunity for long-term hire

We are seeking a Senior Financial Reporting Accountant to support financial statement preparation and disclosure drafting during an active reporting period. This role will work closely with internal accounting leadership and the SEC Reporting Manager to prepare high-quality financial statements, footnotes, and supporting schedules. The ideal candidate is a hands-on financial reporting professional with strong experience translating trial balances into complete, GAAP-compliant financial statements.

This is a 3-5 month contract with opportunity for a long-term hire, however, not guaranteed. It’s also 100% remote.

10–20 years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience.
Strong experience drafting financial statements and footnotes.
Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP.
Hands-on experience working with trial balances and general ledger data.
Experience supporting 10-K and 10-Q filings is preferred but does not need to be manager-level ownership.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, project-based environment.

Prepare Draft and prepare financial statements, including related footnotes and disclosures.
Convert trial balances into complete financial statement packages.
Support preparation of Form 10-K and Form 10-Q filings (content drafting and financial statements).
Assist with disclosure support, roll-forwards, and supporting schedules.
Collaborate with internal accounting, finance, and reporting leadership.
Support audit and review processes, including responding to auditor questions.
Ensure financial statements comply with U.S. GAAP and internal reporting standards.
Assist with ad hoc financial reporting projects as needed.
