Job Description
- Entrusted Advisors is seeking experienced in-house counsel with a focus on environmental and safety regulations to join its national bench of attorneys. Our secondment opportunities are ideal for attorneys who enjoy working closely with business teams and delivering practical, business-aligned guidance within a flexible engagement structure. Engagements may be full or part-time, and may require on-site or remote work depending on the client's needs.
- *What You’ll Do**
- Provide support to corporate clients on a broad range of environmental and safety matters, including air, water, and waste issues and OSHA and workplace safety standards.
- Advise on regulatory compliance strategy, support enforcement defense, and guide internal stakeholders through permitting processes governed by federal and state environmental law.
- Assist clients in responding to agency inspections, notices of violation, and enforcement actions.
- Interpret and apply regulatory schemes affecting a range of business activities, translating legal requirements into clear, operational best practices.
- *What We’re Looking For**
- Minimum of 5 years environmental law experience, with at least 3 years as part of an in-house legal team.
- Licensed in good standing in at least one U.S. state.
- Extensive experience with federal environmental statutes and regulations (CAA, CWA, RCRA, CERCLA).
- Familiarity with EPA and OSHA enforcement procedures and penalty mitigation strategies.
- Demonstrated success in a client-facing role advising non-legal business teams.
- Practical, business-oriented approach to legal and compliance matters.
- Background working with industrial, manufacturing, or energy sector clients strongly preferred.
