Job Description
As a Leader in K12 Learning Design you will lead the creation of innovative, high-impact learning solutions for K-12 Social Studies, while scaling teams and processes. This role combines visionary leadership, client-centric strategies, and operational excellence to deliver value to K12 clients. You will empower cross-functional teams, design, prototype, and scale AI-driven learning design solutions and cultivate long-term relationships with our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Learning Experience Innovation & Delivery
- Lead end-to-end design and prototyping of high-quality learning solutions (including frameworks, courses, and multimedia), leveraging AI-driven tools (such as KADAL) and internal collaboration to deliver innovative, data-informed solutions.
- Manage learning design projects and the implementation of scalable team strategies and processes, ensuring alignment with research and thorough documentation.
- Performance Measurement & Insights
- Track and analyze the Client Success Scorecard and utilize analytics to optimize processes, improve team efficiency, and enhance the overall client experience.
- Present performance insights and actionable recommendations to leadership.
- Hire, onboard, mentor, and develop a high-performing in-house and freelance team, promoting professional development opportunities.
- Provide coaching across cross-functional teams and foster a collaborative, agile, and results-driven team culture aligned with organizational and client goals.
- Thought Leadership & Collaboration
- Advocate for best practices in K12 learning solutions, specifically aligning with principles of diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI), and learning accessibility.
- Collaborate globally across teams to share insights and drive continuous improvement in solutions and processes.
- Presales Strategy & Solutions
- Support presales strategy by driving initiatives (proposals, SOWs, estimations) and designing innovative, scalable prototypes aligned with evolving client needs.
- Client Advocacy & Strategic Relationship Management
- Serve as a primary point of contact for select clients, building trusted relationships with stakeholders to align their needs with organizational capabilities and identify growth opportunities.
- Client Success & Retention
- Lead seamless, scalable onboarding processes and drive measurable client success through proactive engagement, issue resolution, and solution utilization advocacy.
- Monitor client health metrics (such as NPS, CSAT, retention, and revenue growth) and act as a lead or support escalation resource for the PMO and KAM to ensure swift resolution of critical issues.
- Required Skills & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Learning Design, Instructional Design, Educational Leadership, or a related field preferred. History or other related Social Studies degree; advanced degree preferred
- Experience: 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in K12 education, client success, instructional design, curriculum strategy, or digital content delivery.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to mentor teams, foster a collaborative culture, and align team performance with business goals.
- Communication: Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with a proven ability to engage executive stakeholders.
- Global Mindset: Experience managing onshore/offshore teams and working across global time zones with cultural awareness.
- Client Leadership: Proven success managing client relationships and supporting retention efforts, and driving measurable satisfaction.
- Innovation & Delivery: Expertise in developing scalable learning solutions leveraging AI tools and modern frameworks for content and curriculum design.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with Learning Management Systems, content tools, project management platforms, and virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Suite).
- Work Conditions & Travel
- Remote-based role; preference for candidates in Eastern or Central U.S. time zones.
- Up to 15% travel, including domestic and global client visits.
