Pathstone is a growing wealth management firm serving ultra-high net worth families and foundations. The Investment Operations Associate position involves supporting the centralized investment operations team with private fund investments and client relationships, requiring strong attention to detail and operational acumen.
Responsibilities
- Work independently and prioritize tasks based on urgency and deadlines
- Coordinate with necessary parties as needed (including relevant counterparties, custodians, portfolio managers, client teams, research, and Legal & Compliance) to ensure seamless processing of transactions
- Communicate directly with clients in a timely manner
- Independently complete fund subscription documents on behalf of clients
- Independently complete custodian new account opening forms for clients
- Timely and accurately execute investment operations (i.e. transaction processing, investment funding, cash transfers, facilitate securities trades, wire set-up, standing letters of authorization, etc.) in accordance with guidelines and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate the collection of AML/KYC documents for client investment in funds with external clients and internal teams, applying judgment in response to specific manager requests
- Using appropriate judgment, escalate issues and inaccuracies to the head of Investment Operations

- Have a bachelor's degree and one to three years of financial services experience, with exposure to the areas of investment operations, fund administration, data governance, and/or investment management

- Communicate effectively and are comfortable presenting in both verbal and written formats
