Job Description

The Procurement Project Manager will manage procurement goals and objectives related to quality, delivery, cost, and customer requirements, while coordinating change requests and supporting project teams with data analysis and procurement performance tracking.


Responsibilities

  • Managing and coordinating change requests and associated activities with all project stakeholders; Buyers, Commodity Managers, Finance Controller, Engineering, etc
  • Reviewing purchase requisitions and ensuring purchase orders are placed on time
  • Analyzing and compiling data for Canadian Content requirements
  • Applying and supporting Alstom sourcing rules, processes, and tools
  • Presenting data analysis to project teams and auditors, as needed
  • Providing support to project controllers on financial topics and preparing presentations
  • Tracking procurement performance in projects and issuing action plans for deviations
  • Reviewing and managing supplier QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) performance with buyers and commodity managers
  • Support and advise the leadership team based on the development of the project
  • Any other related duties

Skills

  • Master's degree in business, finance, engineering or another relevant field
  • Fluent in French and English
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in: Procurement
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in: Railroad business
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in: Rolling Stock products
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in: SAP, MS Office tools, ARIBA or any relevant tool
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in: Contract negotiation with suppliers
  • Experience in Project Development Phase
  • Strong knowledge with procurement processes and tools
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Adaptability and a continuous learning mindset
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Respect of tight deadlines
  • Working under pressure
  • High sense of responsibility and initiative
