Job Description
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Streamlly is a digital-first news company producing short-form, cinematic news films. The Video Editor will craft engaging videos designed for streaming and social audiences, requiring strong editorial judgment and the ability to meet fast deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Edit short-form news videos (15–60 seconds) for OTT, mobile, and social platforms
- Shape stories with strong pacing, emotional clarity, and journalistic integrity
- Cut dialogue, VO, b-roll, stock, and motion elements into polished final pieces
- Apply basic color correction, audio leveling, and sound design
- Add captions, supers, and on-screen text following brand standards
- Version edits for multiple aspect ratios (9:16, 1:1, 16:9)
- Meet fast turnaround deadlines while maintaining quality
- Collaborate closely with producers, writers, and motion designers
Skills
- Adobe Premiere Pro (required)
- Strong storytelling instincts and editorial judgment
- Ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality
- Comfortable receiving feedback and iterating fast
- Highly organized with excellent time management
- Reliable, deadline-driven, and detail-oriented
- Must have access to a reliable computer and internet connection capable of supporting professional video editing workflows; Streamlly provides required software
- Candidates must be located in Florida or California
- After Effects (basic motion and text animation a plus)
- Experience editing movie trailers, short films, or cinematic content
- Familiarity with OTT and ad-safe content standards
- Ability to work with strict guidelines and repeatable formats
- Basic sound design or music editing skills
