Job Description

Fast + Epp is a dynamic firm focused on advancing structural design and architectural imagination. The BIM Technician will contribute to structural BIM models and drawing production while collaborating with Project Engineers and the BIM team to ensure quality and consistency in outputs.


Responsibilities

  • Contribute to project models and drawings under the guidance of the BIM Lead and BIM Coordinators, developing accuracy and consistency in outputs
  • Review drawings and models for alignment to Fast + Epp standards and best practices, building familiarity with quality expectations
  • Communicate and collaborate regularly with Project Engineers and Project BIM team to support deliverables, clarify expectations, and coordinate design and documentation
  • Assist CA engineers with site review tasks in specific regions, gaining exposure to construction processes and field coordination
  • Engage in the internal BIM training program to actively build skills in Revit, detailing, structural concepts, coordination, digital tools, and innovative workflows - fostering both personal development and team growth
  • Attend monthly BIM meetings to connect with the team, learn about standards, and build a sense of community
  • Promote Fast + Epp's reputation for excellence through involvement in the broader BIM community

Skills

  • Familiarity with Revit
  • Diploma or Degree in Civil/Structural Technology or related field with relevant work experience
  • Registration as CTech Trainee or AScT Trainee with ASTTBC or equivalent in specific region
