Job Description
Arcadis is the world's leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets. They are seeking a Stormwater Transportation Engineer to join their design group, where the role involves designing drainage and design-build projects across the southeastern United States.
Responsibilities
- Design numerous drainage and design-build projects including collector streets, urban arterials, rural and urban expressways, interstates, and bridge replacements across the southeast
- Help with roadway drainage design including bridge hydraulic studies, culvert design, closed drainage system design, post-construction water quality structures design, and erosion and sedimentation control
- Assist with the design and preparation of construction plans using software platforms such as Bentley’s StormCAD, CulvertMaster, FlowMaster, HEC-RAS, HY8, ICPR and SWMM
- Take initiative to take on new projects/challenges regularly and use organizational skills to balance multiple assignments/activities to meet project deadlines
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or another closely related field
- Prior experience with drainage design
- Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Experience with software platforms such as Bentley's StormCAD, CulvertMaster, FlowMaster, and Pond Pack, HEC-RAS, HEC-MS, HY8, ICPR, and/or SWMM
