Job Description
Thomson Reuters is a leading provider of trusted content and technology for professionals across various sectors. The Sales Development Representative will generate qualified leads and cultivate relationships with prospects to set appointments for the Sales team, utilizing outbound calls and emails to reach decision makers.
Responsibilities
- Make outbound phone calls and multi-channel outreach to prospects to set qualified appointments
- Use strong discovery and qualification to ensure meetings are high quality for the Sales team
- Collaborate with Sales to refine messaging, outreach sequences, and campaign performance
- Share feedback on tools, talk tracks, and campaigns based on real prospect conversations
- Maintain accurate CRM documentation and provide clean handoffs with clear next steps
Skills
- One or more years of B2B or B2C inside sales experience
- Outbound prospecting experience, successfully generating new business
- An ability to tell a story with enthusiasm, communicate and influence others over phone, email, video
- Strong time management/organization skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, sales automation, CRM (customer relationship management) and/or web-based software programs
- Goal oriented, driven to succeed
- Technical aptitude for learning products, solving problems and relating to people
- Collaborative/Team player
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- 4-year degree (BA, BS) preferred
