Job Description
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. K2United is an organization that provides advisory services in cyber risk management and online education for workforce readiness. In this role, the Software Test Engineer will ensure products meet high quality standards by developing automated test scripts, executing tests, and collaborating with engineers to identify and resolve issues.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python
- Execute functional and integration tests across systems
- Identify, investigate, and clearly document bugs and defects
- Analyze workflows to understand how data moves and where edge cases may exist
- Partner with developers to troubleshoot issues and support resolution
- Contribute to improving testing processes, coverage, and quality practices
- Participate in Agile team activities such as standups and backlog reviews
Skills
- Proficiency in Python (required) – ability to write and understand code independently
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify edge cases or inconsistencies
- Analytical mindset with curiosity about how systems and data flows work
- Ability to break down problems and think through multiple scenarios
- Clear written communication skills, especially for documenting findings
- Exposure to test automation tools (e.g., Selenium)
- Familiarity with QA concepts, SDLC, or bug tracking
- Experience with tools like Jira or version control systems (Git)
