Job Description
An opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with experience in school settings to provide teletherapy services. This full-time contract role supports students within a special education cooperative, focusing on delivering remote speech therapy interventions tailored to individual needs.
- Location:
- Based in Shorewood, IL, supporting multiple elementary schools including Walnut Trails Elementary, Minooka Primary Center, and Minooka Elementary
- Serving a self-contained Autism program with 33-43 students
- Duration:
- Immediate start with a contract through May 2026
- Full-time commitment between 32.5 to 37.5 hours per week
- Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language evaluations and provide teletherapy services in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to ensure cohesive therapeutic approaches
- Maintain accurate documentation of sessions and progress reports
- Adapt therapy techniques to meet the diverse needs of students, particularly those in self-contained Autism programs
- Participate actively in team meetings and professional development opportunities
- Qualifications:
- Valid licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Prior school-based experience is essential
- Proficiency in telespeech/teletherapy service delivery
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage a caseload of students with varying needs in a remote format
