Overview

The firm is looking for an Audit Manager to join their well-established department of 30 colleagues offering remote working for the right candidate.

The role will be 100% statutory external audit but will also have an element of different types of audits. The firm has 30 staff so is by no means a small outfit, but we have a work hard, play hard ethos with frequent social occasions from quiz night and dinner & learn etc. Though we all work remotely, we put a face to a name every so often with team building activities.

Audit of statutory accounts compliant with auditing standards.
Leading an audit team (7 to 10 people), ensuring the team completes in a timely manner within budget.
Managing audit assignments from planning through to finalisation of reports in line with agreed timescales.
Controlling time spent and monitoring actual time within budget.
People management coaching, feedback, performance management, training and development, engaging high performing teams.
Ensure standards and procedures maintained by whole team.
Assess and produce high quality work in line with the Firm's policy and processes, meeting relevant regulatory requirements.
Ability to work on number of audit assignments simultaneously.
Performing a detail review of all audit assignments.

Holds significant experience of leading external audits managing a portfolio of clients and leading audit teams.
Prior experience of working at an experienced Audit Seniors (qualified auditors).
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Takes ownership of projects, effectively delegates to others within the team and takes responsibility for quality control.
