Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Hyper-V Consultant to urgently support a critical production incident within a hyper-converged failover cluster environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Storage Spaces Direct (S2D), Hyper-V, and failover clustering in high-availability environments.
Current Situation:
The client's production hyper-converged failover cluster experienced a critical overnight incident where multiple Storage Spaces Direct (S2D) volumes fell out of synchronization and entered a degraded repair state.
- This has resulted in:
- Reduced system availability
- Performance degradation
- Impact to several production virtual machines
- Disruption to core database systems supporting banking operations
- Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and remediate S2D volume synchronization issues
- Restore cluster health and stability
- Optimize performance of affected virtual machines
- Ensure high availability of critical systems, particularly database environments
- Provide guidance on preventing future incidents
- Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong hands-on experience with Hyper-V and Failover Clustering
- Deep knowledge of Storage Spaces Direct (S2D) troubleshooting and recovery
- Experience working in production-critical environments (financial/banking preferred)
- Ability to respond quickly and work under urgent conditions

This is a high-priority engagement requiring immediate availability. The consultant will play a key role in stabilizing a mission-critical infrastructure environment.
