Job Title: Bookkeeper
Position Type: Part-Time (Monday to Friday, 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM)
Reports To: [Business Owners/CEO]
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage the companyยs financial records. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO), and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. This role ensures accurate financial records and compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping:
ย Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks Online (QBO).
ย Handle accounts payable (AP), including data entry, invoicing, and payment tracking.
ย Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and merchant deposits monthly.
ย Track and categorize expenses, ensuring proper allocation to accounts and cost centers.
ย Generate monthly financial reports, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements.
ย Assist with sales tax tracking, reporting, and filing, ensuring compliance with local and state regulations.
ย Collaborate with the CPA or external accountants during tax preparation and audits.
Required Qualifications:
ย 1+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a small to medium-sized business setting.
ย Proficient in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and other financial tools (e.g., Bill.com, Excel).
ย Basic understanding of accrual accounting principles and GAAP.
ย Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
ย Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
ย Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
ย Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications:
ย Experience with integrations such as Rics POS or other POS systems.
ย Knowledge of sales tax compliance and filing procedures.
ย Previous experience in managing high transaction volumes or working with multiple credit card accounts.
