About the position
The Claim Section Manager-Injury at State Farm is responsible for overseeing the management of first line leaders and their teams, ensuring high-quality service in auto injury claims. This hybrid role combines remote work with in-office collaboration, focusing on leadership, compliance, and process improvement to maintain the company's industry-leading position.
Responsibilities
Β Manage assigned first line leaders and oversee their teams, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management.

Β Lead the team towards achieving department and company goals.

Β Manage and oversee auto injury claims on behalf of the company.

Β Review and control the operation's quality claim activities, including investigations and claim payments.

Β Make decisions in the best interest of customers and employees.

Β Engage with internal and external counsel on litigation and regulatory activities.

Β Coordinate and implement new company programs, policies, and procedures.

Β Contribute to high-level project work impacting customers and the organization.

Β Ensure compliance with company procedures and applicable laws.

Β Suggest methods to update and enhance processes and technologies.

Β Develop collaborative relationships with leaders from other claim segments.
Requirements
Β Prior Property & Casualty Claim handling experience, particularly in Injury/Casualty claims.

Β Litigation Management experience is desired.

Β Experience in Claim Investigation is desired.

Β Commercial Auto Experience is preferred.

Β Experience with evaluating injury claims, medical billing, and treatment.

Β Data Analysis experience is required.

Β Experience leading other leaders is essential.

Β Demonstrated horizontal/peer influence is necessary.

Β Insurance education and/or higher education is preferred.

Β A valid driver's license is required.
