We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Loan Operations Specialist II to join our esteemed financial institution. Position Details:
• Location: Hybrid - Lewiston, ME (2-3 days in-office, with the potential for full remote work based on performance)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 12 months (with potential for extension and conversion to full-time)
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Pay Rate: $20.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform administrative tasks related to loan servicing and document management.
• Use judgment and discretion in executing routine loan operations.
• Review and verify the accuracy of loan documentation and related processes.
• Investigate discrepancies and report findings, ensuring all issues are resolved promptly.
• Record entries in the general ledger and maintain accuracy in financial documentation.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of departmental budgets and reporting.
• Address inquiries and resolve issues from customers and internal teams.
• Follow up with stakeholders to ensure discrepancies and customer concerns are effectively addressed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Loan Documentation Knowledge: Proficient understanding of loan documents is essential.
• Excel & Data Entry: Strong skills in Excel and data entry are required.
• Familiarity with Lending Practices: Basic knowledge of lending processes and the real estate sector.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to focus on accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.
• Multitasking: Capable of managing multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
• Accounting Knowledge: Basic understanding of accounting processes and procedures.
• Microsoft Office Proficiency: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Experience: Prior experience in banking, loan servicing, or financial operations is preferred, but not mandatory.
