Workd is seeking talented Software Engineers to join our team in Farmington Hills, MI or remotely!
The intermediate-level Software Engineer's focus is to implement solutions with a team of other engineers, UI/UX engineers, business analysts, and quality analysts. We provide training on our specific platform and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Β Work with an Agile/Scrum team to develop, test and deploy Workd business applications
Β Assist with Junior Software Engineer onboarding
Β Provide mentorship to Junior Software Engineers
Β Collaborate with Agile/Scrum team to plan solution architecture
Β Divide user stories into tasks
Β Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards
Β Participate in peer-reviews of solution designs and related code
Β Demo solutions when requested
Β Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on time and on-budget that meet all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, and extensibility
Β Provide third-level support to business users
Β Keep Scrum board up to date
Β Accurately record time according to established company standards
Β Participate in Agile project meetings
Β Complete an annual Self Review as part of the Performance Appraisal and Employee Development Process
Requirements
Β 3+ years of experience developing enterprise grade software systems
Β Competent critical thinking, debugging/problem identification/resolution skills
Β Competent capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and to multitask
Β Competent time-management, interpersonal and collaboration skills
Β Competent verbal and written communication skills
Β Advanced Beginner mentoring skills
Β Competent understanding of Agile/Scrum development processes
Β Competent ability to apply object-oriented programming concepts
Β Competent familiarity with the requirements and terminology of one or more business applications
Β Competent in JavaScript (Typescript preferred)
Β Competent in Node.js
Β Competent in HTML (pug/jade preferred)
Β Competent in CSS (SCSS preferred)
Β Competent ability to apply Angular/Typescript skills
Β Competent ability to manage version/source control via GIT
Β Competent ability to use Integrated Development Environment to work faster
Β Competent understanding of development cycle scenarios
Β BachelorΒs degree or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline, Code Camp attendance, or equivalent work experience
