We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join a team in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for exciting projects building Heavy Civil - Road/Bridge, and Paving projects. As a key player in our engineering team, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring high-quality delivery, strict adherence to timelines, and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the day-to-day activities of heavy civil, road bridge, and paving construction projects.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and ensure adherence to project timelines.
Supervise field operations, manage subcontractors, and collaborate with various teams to ensure projects are executed according to plans.
Prepare and review project plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and local environmental codes.
Track and report project progress, budget variances, and any potential risks or issues to senior management.
Coordinate with local authorities, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
Assist in resolving technical issues and provide support to the construction team.
Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in Heavy Civil Engineering, with a focus on road bridges, paving, and infrastructure projects.
Knowledge of construction methods, contract documents, and project management software.
Strong understanding of industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proven experience with project scheduling, cost management, and risk assessment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet project deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in the Dallas-Fort Worth region is preferred.
Proficiency in project management software such as Procore, Buildertrend, or similar tools.
Experince on heavy civil and TxDOT projects
