They perform their duties in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and GetixHealthรยs policies and procedures.
Shift: 10am-7pm CST or 11am-8pm CST
Compensation: $18.00
Limited number of positions will be remote. Remote positions have to first pass our home Internet Service passing company assigned Internet Speed Test. Applicants for remote will be interviewed in the order they pass our Internet Speed Test.
Position Responsibilities
รย Medical Collections
รย Responding to telephone inquiries (inbound/outbound), utilizing standard procedures and scripts
รย Gathering information, performing research and resolving customer inquiries
รย Communicate appropriate options for resolution in a timely manner
รย Inform customers/patients about services available, and assess their needs
รย Schedule work to ensure accurate phone coverage, prioritize calls and escalate as required
รย Assist in planning and implementing department goals and make recommendations to management to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Other duties as assigned:
รย Successful accomplishments and primary accountabilities of this position will depend upon establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of people both inside and outside of the functional area. Such people may include, but are not limited to: interdepartmental leadership, education and development, the patient, client hospital staff, government, insurance company representatives, vendors, compliance, finance, decision support and contact management as well as GetixHealth' s officers, senior management and staff.
Requirements Education and Experience
รย High school diploma or college degree from an accredited college or university
รย Spanish fluency preferable
รย Two to five years industry experience in medical revenue cycle management is required.
รย Medical experience, either practical or classroom knowledge needed.
รย Proven understanding of the medical revenue cycle.
รย Demonstrated excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
รย Demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations.
รย Attention to detail
รย Good attendance record
รย Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
รย Demonstrated ability to perform work in alignment with company mission and values
รย Proven PC proficiency in MS Office Suite Applications
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
รย Work environment is either remote or an office location.
รย The position requires the dexterity to operate office equipment such as a personal computer, keyboard, mouse and telephone
รย Occasional lifting may be required up to 25 lbs.
รย Must be able to sit for extended periods of time with frequent bending and stooping
รย Must have current, valid driver license or reliable transportation to commute to/from work
