Our Staff Engineer is a lead member of the engineering staff working across the organization to provide a friction-less experience to our customers and maintain the highest standards of protection and availability. Our team thrives and succeeds in delivering high-quality technology products and services in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift quickly. The ideal candidate has broad and deep technical knowledge, typically ranging from front-end UIs through back-end systems and all points in between.Position Responsibilities
As a Staff Engineer, you will:
รย Focus on multiple areas and provide leadership to the engineering teams
รย Own complete solution across its entire life cycle
รย Influence and build vision with product managers, team members, customers, and other engineering teams to solve complex problems for building enterprise-class business applications
รย Accountable for the quality, usability, and performance of the solutions
รย Lead in design sessions and code... reviews to elevate the quality of engineering across the organization
รย Utilize programming languages like Swift, Objective C, JavaScript, TypeScript, Dart, Python, C#, SQL, and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of Azure tools and services
รย Mentor more junior team members professionally to help them realize their full potential
รย Consistently share best practices and improve processes within and across teams
Qualifications
รย Fluency and specialization with at least two modern languages such as Swift, Objective C, JavaScript, TypeScript, JSX, Dart, Python, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
รย Experience in building products using a micro-services architecture and extensible REST APIs
รย Experience building the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems
รย Experience with continuous delivery and infrastructure as code
รย Fluency in DevOps Concepts, Cloud Architecture, and Azure DevOps Operational Framework
รย Experience in leveraging PowerShell scripting
รย Experience in existing Operational Portals such as Azure Portal
รย Experience with application monitoring tools and performance assessments
รย Experience in Datacenter structure, capabilities, and offerings, including the Azure platform, and its native services
รย Experience in security protocols and products: Understanding of Active Directory, Windows Authentication, SAML, OAuth
รย Experience in Azure Network (Subscription, Security zoning, etc)
รย In-depth knowledge of CS data structures and algorithms
รย Knowledge of developer tooling across the software development life cycle (task management, source code, building, deployment, operations, real-time communication)
รย Experience in Application Frameworks
รย Experience with XCode, VS Code, or a similar IDE
รย Experience in Risk assessment
รย Strong problem-solving ability
รย Ability to excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environment
Experience
รย 6+ years of professional software development experience within Mobile and Web frameworks/SDKs/languages such as Swift/Objective-C, iOS SDK, React, TypeScript/JavaScript, or Flutter/Dart
รย 4+ years of experience in open-source frameworks
รย 3+ years of experience with architecture and design
รย 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service
Education
รย Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience

Annual Salary
$75,000.00 - $260,000.00
The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
