About the position
The Outside Sales position for Construction Equipment & Tools at Direct Sales involves engaging with rental companies, construction equipment dealers, and contractor supply stores across Alaska. This part-time, contract role is designed for a disciplined individual capable of working independently from home while building relationships in the industry. The position offers a commission-based compensation model with a draw on commission to start, and it has the potential to evolve into a full-time role.
- Responsibilities
- Engage in face-to-face selling within the designated territory of Alaska. ,
- Build and maintain relationships with rental companies, construction equipment dealers, and contractor supply stores. ,
- Deliver and demonstrate equipment as needed. ,
- Work independently from home while managing sales activities. ,
- Participate in product training provided by manufacturers.
- Requirements
- Five years of experience in sales, preferably in the wholesale market or equipment rental industry. ,
- Strong customer service skills and experience in outside sales. ,
- Ability to manage accounts and negotiate effectively. ,
- Disability determination experience is a plus. ,
- Must have a pickup truck for transportation.
- Nice-to-haves
- Experience in the contractor supply store industry (STAFDA). ,
