We're on a mission to revolutionize the pet care industry, and we're looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Supply Chain technology team, you'll play a critical role in designing and building high-complexity components and systems that drive our business forward.
Role Overview:
- Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based data solutions using AWS services, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet business objectives and drive customer satisfaction
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning
- Develop and maintain Tier 1 systems for cartonization, leveraging AWS services and best practices in software engineering
Responsibilities:
- Guide team members in the definition, design, development, testing, and implementation of software functionality using agile methodologies
- Communicate project status, risks, and solutions to stakeholders, influencing collaborators and driving technical decisions
- Ensure technical solutions follow best practices, are reliable, maintainable, and scalable under sustained load
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, following best practices in software engineering and ensuring rigorous peer review
- Collaborate with DevOps to design and manage cloud infrastructure, focusing on scalability, high availability, and disaster recovery
- Advocate for and implement software engineering best practices, including version control, code reviews, unit testing, and CI/CD pipelines
- Implement data security and compliance best practices, ensuring all data handling meets regulatory requirements and company standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or similar; or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, with extensive experience in AWS data services (EC2, Lambda, S3)
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, with a strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary range: $134,500.00 - $215,000.00
