Job Overview We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Admissions Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the admissions process for our facility, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for prospective patients. This position requires strong communication skills, proficiency in various office software, and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. This position will be a remote position. Duties β’ Guide individuals through the admissions process, providing information and support β’ Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries via phone, email, text and fax. β’ Conduct pre-assessments to gather essential information for the intake process β’ Collaborate with healthcare professionals to assess the appropriateness of potential admissions β’ Verify insurance coverage and communicate financial obligations to clients and their families β’ Coordinate and schedule admissions, collaborating with other departments regarding transportation and intake appointments. β’ Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of admissions data and documentation in both the CRM and EMR β’ Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure a cohesive and person-centered approach β’ Communicate effectively with external referral sources and healthcare providers β’ Provide timely updates to individuals and their families regarding the admissions process Requirements β’ Proven experience in admissions or related field, preferably in a healthcare setting. β’ Familiarity with CRM and electronic health record systems β’ Familiarity with insurance verification processes β’ Some sales experience β’ Experience working remotely and in a call center environment β’ Strong organizational skills with attention to detail β’ Ability to navigate insurance benefits and financial conversations comfortably with clients and families β’ Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. β’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills. β’ Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality. β’ Proficient in using computers and various software applications for administrative tasks. β’ Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
