Job Description
Small AV rated dense firm representing Fortune 50 companies in litigated personal injury matters and local businesses in general matters seeks a well-rounded associate attorney licensed in California to handle files remotely with occasional meetings in the firm's Murrieta office. Candidate may also handle occasional plaintiff's personal injury and medical malpractice cases. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience managing litigated cases from start to finish with minimal supervision of a partner. Experience with trial preparation is very highly preferred. Duties will involve investigating claims, meeting clients, drafting and responding to written discovery, drafting and opposing motions, taking and defending percipient witness and expert depositions, court appearances, and negotiating with opposing counsel. The candidate will attend mediation and settlement conferences with clients' claim representatives. Excellent chance for advancement or the right candidate. - Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Member of the California State Bar
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Strong legal knowledge
- Able to work with firm paralegals and staff
- Prefer candidate with 2-4 years of experience in civil litigation
