Job Description
Acushnet Company is a leading brand in the golf industry, known for its commitment to excellence and innovation. The Associate Product Developer will support the lifecycle of FootJoy golf gloves, collaborating with various teams to drive product development and ensure successful market launches.
Responsibilities
- Support the development, design, and end-to-end lifecycle management of FootJoy gloves, including PLM/PLC setup and commercialization timelines
- Lead product launch execution, including sample management, photoshoots, packaging copy, marketing support, and go‑to‑market coordination
- Conduct and support research testing with R&D, including methodology development, trend analysis, and application of insights to product development
- Manage global SMU programs, track project progress, maintain reporting, and ensure alignment across design, product management, suppliers, manufacturing, sales, and marketing
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience preferred
- Knowledge of the golf industry and/or experience with golf gear strongly preferred
- Basic understanding of manufacturing techniques, processes, and materials (textiles, leathers, synthetics, plastics)
- Working knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platforms and databases
- Ability to identify product opportunities and apply foundational product development skills to golf gloves
- Willingness to travel to international manufacturing sites approximately 1–2 times per year
