Job Description

RTC is a company that specializes in designing and executing retail programs to enhance the shopping experience for brands and retailers. The Associate Project Manager will support Beauty programs by collaborating with project managers and production, while also managing project documentation, timelines, and communication across departments.


Responsibilities

  • Analyze project situations, identify necessary actions, and drive implementation to resolution
  • Develop project plans as requested or collaborate with Development Project Management to create them
  • Prepare and maintain Gantt charts, and provide clear written updates on task timelines and requirements to Account Management and Development Project Management
  • Complete an in-depth assessment of risk for each project and maintain detailed knowledge regarding the status of all projects under their ownership
  • Communicate with all related departments regarding requirements, tasks, completion dates, work in process, required samples, etc
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the relationship between estimated and actual costs for all assigned projects, and proactively monitor performance to ensure actual costs align with or remain below estimates
  • Demonstrate ongoing learning and proficiency in POP-related manufacturing methods
  • Own and execute all required project documentation, including shop order requests, Bill of Materials development, and part number creation
  • Collaborate with and, as needed, travel to RTC plant facilities to support the manufacturing of assigned displays or fixtures; flexibility to communicate outside normal business hours may be required
  • Maintain working knowledge of the Project Management module within RTC’s MRP system, as well as functional proficiency in other relevant system modules

Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in project management or a related discipline
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven mindset and advanced Excel proficiency
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Materials Management, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience working with a variety of materials, including wood, metal, plastics, and printed components
  • Working knowledge of production processes within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
