Job Description
Tentamus is a global network of accredited analytical laboratories providing quality and safety analysis. They are seeking an Associate Systems Administrator to provide frontline technical support, assist with IT systems maintenance, and collaborate with the IT team while gaining hands-on experience with servers and networks.
Responsibilities
- Provide frontline support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and common software applications
- Assist with managing IT tickets in ClickUp and ensure timely updates and resolutions
- Support end users with account setup, password resets, and general troubleshooting
- Help maintain and update IT documentation, user guides, and knowledge base articles
- Assist senior IT staff with basic server, network, and cloud administration tasks
- Participate in routine system maintenance, patching, and monitoring
- Learn and apply Tentamus IT standards and security practices in daily tasks
- Collaborate with the global Tentamus IT team on projects and upgrades as assigned
Skills
- Authorized to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Hold an Associate's degree in information technology, computer science, or related field; or equivalent technical training/experience
- 1–2 years of IT helpdesk, desktop support, or related experience (internships and co-op experience accepted)
- Familiarity with Windows and macOS desktop administration
- Basic understanding of Active Directory and user/group management
- Knowledge of fundamental networking concepts (IP addressing, DNS, VPN)
- Experience with Microsoft 365 applications and common business productivity tools
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills
- Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and systems
- Must be able to lift 50lbs at a time
- Entry-level certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Fundamentals) a plus
- Exposure to virtualization technologies (VMware or Hyper-V) or basic scripting is helpful
